The council of Local Police of the Town Hall of Mazarrón, Isidro Coy, has informed today that has been changed the clothing of the agents of the municipal security force in order to renew the image and adapt it to the new times, adopting the blue color as the own identity of the Local Police of  Mazarrón, as has already made in other towns of Murcia Region and other cities of Spain.

Isidro Coy has stated that  “The Local Police of Mazarrón changes in this way its external  image changing the color of the uniform, from yellow to blue burgos”. The fluorescent yellow color, that until now characterized the work uniform of the Local Police, has been progressively extended to others works collective. “Nowadays we can see in the streets to workers, road maintenance workes, cleaning municipal services, services of ORA, etc., wearing clothes with fluorescent yellow, that makes difficult that the citizens can distinguish easily to the Agents of the Local Police. That was the reason for the change”, has explained Coy.

Also, the council has informed that the Local Police of  Mazarrón will start to operate with a new operating structure, with which pretends to optimize the human and marterial resources to get a greater  efficiency in the daily work of atention to the citizen. This new structure will be announced soon by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, and the mentioned council.

Precisely, the Mayor of  Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, has explained that  “to avoid situations of confusion or that could be problematic in cases of emergency, we have decided to change the color of the uniform as in other towns”, something that for the  Mayor, “will increase the daily security in the town, as will do the change in the structure”. This change, as well as in the costume and vehicles, are part of the improvements that the Town Hall is introducing in the municipal force to give every day a better service to the citizen.
