The Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, has come this morning to the Palace of San Esteban to meet with the president of the Autonomous Community of Murcia, Ramón Luis Valcárcel. This visit is part of the series of meetings that Valcárcel is carrying out with the different municipal councilors, before leaving his current post as president of Murcia.

The first councilor of Mazarrón has seized the occasion to report the “imperative need that the split of the road between Mazarrón and Puerto is executed”, which is regional ownership. Ginés Campillo has incised that “within this work, is primordial and urgent the construction of the roundabout to the access of the sport complex situated in La Media Legua” and has clarified that “we already have the project of the roundabout, although it was not our job to write it, and only it is needed that the Autonomous Community executed the work as the road is of its ownership”.

The Mayor of Mazarrón and the president of the Autonomous Community have also talked about the Municipal Urban Plan (PMOU). In particular, about what are the strategic lines that will be contemplated in the document and which sectors will be projected with the new planning of the space in the town. One of the most favored will be the Tourism, with the provision of land for hotel projects that will increase the number of places for tourists of which already has Mazarrón and that currently they are around  to the 2.000, not including campsites.
