The council of Civil Protection and Coast Services, Miguel Mª García, said last Monday the objectives of his councils accompanied of the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo. García explained that the newly created  Coast Services will be divided into three specific lines of action. These will be beaches and swimming areas, promenades  and, last, area of the coves. In all of these areas will be main objective the cleaning, coordinating this council with the Municipal Solid Waste.

In the beaches and swimming areas, Coast Services will coordinate the works of aid and rescue, ensure for the public safety, take over of displaying the buoy  and  will be aware of the correct working of other services such as the chemical toilets or the footbath. All aimed at getting, as one of its main objectives, new flags of the `Q of Quality´ for the beaches of Puerto, Bahía, La Reya and Bolnuevo. Also, it will also work for the achievement  of more blue flags on the other beaches of Mazarrón.

In the promenades will gave special attention to the access to the sand, also the cleaning and maintenance of them. The improvement of the public safety in these places with increased presence of agents will be other of the objectives, with a greather security also in the leisure areas situaded in these points. The renovation of the signage to offer a better and update information about the beaches will be also one of the objectives to short term of Coast Services.

Finally, it will work to maximize the coves of Bolnuevo with an improvement in the access of them  as far its protection  permits it. One of the newest objectives , and in line with this potentiation, will be the habilitation  of a group of first aid in this area that will have even with a SUV vehicle for an access faster and more agile to the different coves. It is a new bet , not only for the security, but also to promote the tourism of quality in the town.

In regard to Civil Protection, it will continue betting and marking the importance of the  Plan Copla, to which this year the Town Hall has allocated  37.000 euros more than the last year and that  will remain in future budgets. In fact , other of the objectives is the installation of a third place of first aid in the beach of Bolnuevo. Other objective is to adapt a vehicle of the Local Police for rescue in this area, that will add to a fourth  watercraft of rescue of Red Cross for the next summer.
