Next Saturday 1st September  the beach of Rihuete will receive, from 9 a.m., the free diving baptisms that will be made by the Diving Center of  Sureste “Bachisub”. The activity was known yerterday by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, the council of Tourism, María Celeste Soria, and the manager of the company “Bachisub”, Alfonso Bachiller. The initiative has the collaboration of the Town Hall of Mazarrón and of the Federation of Underwater Activities of Murcia Region (FASRM).

As explained Alfonso Bachiller “can be baptized people over 14 years that want to start in the  diving with  scuba. That people should register in our diving center, placed Mar square  next to the Guardia Civil, or in the Tourist Office of Puerto de Mazarrón”. The manager has indicated that  “there is not a limit of places so we try to baptize to everyone that be registered during the day”.

For the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, “it is important to support initiatives like this as it is a good idea to promote the diving in Mazarrón. A proposal with that we promote the tourism, but also we intensify our identity”. In fact, the first council has invited to participate “not only to the tourists, also to the neighbors of the town to discover Mazarrón from a totally different  point of view”.

The council of Tourism, María Celeste Soria, has wanted to remenber that  “The Town Hall bets to value the seabeds of Bahía de Mazarrón. This bet will be the main shaft around which will move the image of  Mazarrón in the next fair of London World Trade Market”. The idea is that “attracted for a practice every time more extended like the diving, the tourists have a first contact wiht the town to, from this moment , be interested also in our cultural, archaeological and natural patrimony”.
