Mazarrón Local Police issues 205 fines for non-compliance with the State of Alarm

205 fines have been issued for non-compliance with the rules plus 150 surveillance actions on quarantined homes

The Local Police, along with the Guardia Civil and the Third Army Marine Infantry of Levante, continue to carry out controls at the main entrances to the urban centres so that the confinement regulations are complied with. The Police have so far processed a total of 205 fines during the State of Emergency, especially for movement without just cause. Some have also been recorded against establishments that have not complied with the opening regulations, especially at the beginning of the entry into force of the Royal Decree.

Among those reported for unjustified movement is a driver who was driving without permission and who tried to deceive the officers by showing his twin brother's driving licence. The corresponding judicial proceedings were directed against this individual. A neighbour from Mazarrón was also fined for repeatedly violating the confinement orders given to him by the officers, by repeatedly riding his scooter through some streets of the municipality.

Likewise, the Local Police has carried out some 150 surveillance actions on homes in which the Ministry of Health has ordered a quarantine because a positive case was found or with symptoms that could indicate the disease. If during the verification, the affected party reports that he needs something, the officers communicate the need to the Social Services of the Town Council.

In addition, the Local Police, Guardia Civil and Civil Protection, have continued today with the distribution of the rest of the 6000 masks sent by the Government Delegation that have been delivered to strategic points in the municipality, both in the main town and in the farms, as well as bus stations, the fish market, the supply plaza of the Port and establishments whose opening is authorized by the State of Emergency.

A measure that complements the safety during the return to work activity of some workers, is the essential requirement for continuous hand hygiene and the maintenance of the safety distance between workers.

The number of conformed positive cases for coronavirus rises to 18, according to the report published by the Epidemiology Service of the Region of Murcia, which was published a on 13^th April, and which represents an increase of 1 new positive case with respect to the report from last Friday, April 10th.

Of these cases we unfortunately have 2 deceased.

In the Region of Murcia 476 people have recovered

The total number of affected since the start of the outbreak of this pandemic amounts to 1,487 people in the Region, while the number of positive active cases is 905 cases.

The number of people admitted to hospital continues to decline, 211 people admitted, 41 of them in intensive care. The rest, 694 people, remain in home isolation.

In the Region, 106 people have died from Covid-19. On the other hand, the number of people healed now amounts to 476, 126 more than the previous day.

The number of health professionals reaches 323 cases of contagion by coronavirus.

Regarding the situation in the nursing homes, there are 248 residents affected since the outbreak began, of which 53 have died. The number of workers infected since the start of the pandemic is 82. There are still four nursing homes in the Region with residents declared positive by Covid-19, a disability centre and a juvenile centre.

So far, more than 13,000 coronavirus tests have been performed, of which 11,564 have been negative.
