Mazarron Town Hall begins work to restore access track at the beach of Percheles
Disputes over the ownership of the track and surrounding land have led to controversy at Percheles in recent years
The Town Hall of Mazarrón has begun work this week on restoring the access track which leads to the popular unspoilt beach of Percheles, in the south-west of the municipality, following a resolution passed in a full session of the council on May 18.
There has been a good deal of controversy in recent years over whether the track is private property or is owned by the council, but a Town Hall press release states that the access track is inscribed on the municipal register of properties and rights owned by the Town Hall, and it is clear that the administration is not expecting any further legal objections to be made.
