THE FOUNDATION “PEDRO CANO” AND MAZARRÓN SEAL CULTURAL TIES
Ginés Campillo and the painter of Blanca sign an agreement to promote the Culture
This afernoon Ginés Campillo, Mayor of Mazarrón, and Pedro Cano, the painter of Murcia in active more international, have signed an agreement of collaboration between the Town Hall of Mazarrón and the foundation of the artist of Blanca, to “promote the culture in the town”, has said the first council who has been supported by the words of Pedro Cano, who has explained that “after the success of the exhibition that we promoted with occasion of the 440 Anniversary of the Independence of Mazarrón, we value the opportunity to continue promoting the art and the culture through my foundation. Today we come to rubricate that desire”. Both were accompanied by the council of Culture, María Celeste Soria, and the manager of the foundation, Ráquel Vázquez-Dorero.
Thanks to the agreement the town hall of Mazarrón and the Foundation “Pedro Cano” will carry out training courses for students and teachers, collaborations in cultural activities of the town such as outdoor contest of paint “Domingo Valdivieso”, the realization of at least one yearly activity in which has initiatives related with art or, among many others, celebration of exhibitions in the Foundation placed in Blanca of local artists of Mazarrón. In this last sense, Cano has pointed to the “Grupo Almagra” as one of these local referens that will have place in the foundation.
Also, the painter of Blanca felt satisfied and excited with the signature of this agreement because “the Culture does not only exist in the big cities and in the big centers, but it is a human need and humans are everywhere”. Cano has invited to all the citizens of Mazarrón to visit his foundation in Blanca, where has explained that is showed the exhibition of “Identidad del Tránsito”, agendas whose pages varies according of the month and the day that we are, a retrospective of his work since the 11 years entitled “Vivir pintando”, or whole floor dedicated to the paper world where are his delicious travel notebooks, 54 in total.
The Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, has thanked to the painter and to the foundation that chairs “their good and always pleased availability to seal these cultural ties with Mazarrón, as it is one more step in the consolidation of the bet for the Culture that we are promoting with tenacity in the town”. The first council has augured “great cultural events thanks to this agreement, that is added to others signed in defense also of the Education, the Training, Tourism, Local Development or Social Welfare”.
