Today the Plenum of the Town Hall of Mazarrón, gathered in extraordinary session, has passed by unanimity the modificaiton of the statutes of the Consortium of Fire Fighting and Rescue of the Autonomous Community of Murcia. As has explained the council of Public Safety and Civil Protection, Miguel María García, “this modification adjusts the statutes of the Consortium to the changes that have been produced in the legislation from they were passed in the year 92”. The proposal passed will be sent now to the Governing Council of the Autonomous Community and to the consortium towns.

In regard to this modification, the presidential council has defined a new organizational model in the operational structure of the Consortium of Fire Fighting and Rescue of Murcia Region that sets some reforms based in the “optimal use of the human  resources and materials to get efficiency in the management of the services and give effective answer to the needs of the citizens”. This was stated by the councilor of Presidency, Manuel Campos, after rubricate with the negotiating table of the Consortium the agreement on last 15th March.

The presidential council explained that “the agreement introduces important news that make possible optimize the organization of the  collective, focused mainly in the strengthening of the specialization through the separtion of the  operational scale and technique”. The new organization, ensured Campos, sets the introduction of methodologies of work and and views of management updated and homogeneous in the 14 fire stations and other workplaces, ensuring the suitable support to provide this service “more agile, efficient and of quality”.

The counselor valued “the great effort” made by all the components of the Consortium materialized in the signature of this agreement that determines an “important saving in the difficult economic times in which we are and shows, one more time, the compromise, the responsability and the vocation of public service of these great professionals”.

In this line, it is expected the development of the operational scale with the corps of sub oficer and officer, the realization of guards of 24 h. by the chief sergeants in parks of Lorca and Molina de Segura, the voluntary assumption of the service of coordination  between the sergeants and technical staff, the reduction of the remuneration for the extraordinary services of the Consortium and the modernization  of the own workshop dedicated to the reparation of cars and firefighting equipment. These organizational  measures will be  “an increase of the operability” of the Consortium of Fire Fighting and Rescue of Murcia Region and an  “economic saving” for the Community, quantified in more than one million per year.

Also, the Plenum has passed by unanimity the correction of a mistake in a document about the specific modification number  72 of the General Urban Plan (PGOU). The council of Town Planning, Francisco García, has explained  that “it is a mistake in the transcription of a document that ffects to the parcial plan of the industrial area La Charca, whose correction has been requested  by  Mazalia S.L.. Now that has been corrected the mistake, the procedure of the modification will follow its usual process”.
