THE TOWN COUNCIL WILL RECEIVE 137,000 EUROS TO COVER SOCIAL NEEDS CAUSED BY COVID-19
The Government of Spain distributes more than 9,000,000 euros among the municipalities of the Region to cover the social needs caused by the pandemic
This budget item comes from an extraordinary credit of 300,000,000 (300 million) euros approved by the Council of Ministers of the Government of Spain whose allocation for the Region of Murcia is 9,284,806 euros. "This is an important economic amount that the Government of the Nation has distributed among local entities and that will allow us to cover the basic needs of the most vulnerable population during the pandemic", said the Mayor, Gaspar Miras.
As explained in the Royal Decree Law and in the credit distribution agreement, these have been generated in order to guarantee and reinforce Basic Social Services Benefits to carry out urgent and extraordinary measures that are exclusively intended to against the extraordinary situations derived from the COVID-19. These credits will go to offer direct financial support to families; emergency aid for the purchase of food, medicine and payment of basic bills and home support measures for the most vulnerable, isolated and disabled people.
