THE TOWN HALL OF MAZARRÓN STARTS THE FIRST BMX CIRCUIT OF THE REGION OF MURCIA

The circuit is part of a cyclist park which will also have circuits MTB and Trial Bike

The Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, and the president of the Cycling Federation of Murcia, José L. Tortosa, inaugurated yesterday the first BMX circuit  with which counts the Region of and which is situated in the sports complex of the Media Legua, on the road that connects Mazarrón with Puerto. The councilors Andrés Valera, María Celeste Soria, Isidro Coy and Carlos García also attended to the event; as well as representatives of the two cycling clubs of the town and amateurs to this sport discipline who some of them arrived even from outside of the Region.

The councilor for Sports, Andrés Valera, explained that “there is quite fondness for this sport in Murcia and other areas like Alicante, therefore in addition of this circuit, also it is already executing a circuit of Trial Bike and other MTB cycling circuit, as well as one of MTB initiation. We  focus so in this sport complex a firm commitment  with a complete cyclist park , offering to the amateurs other additional services such as dressing rooms or a spacious parking area that will be very convenient for the sport events that will hold here”.

About these events talked José L. Tortosa who has reiterated once more the “excellent relationship between the Federation and the Town Hall, which is reflected  the start of circuits like this or in the important events that will become Mazarrón in the cycling capital of Murcia”. In this sense he has informed that “the third edition of the National League of BMX will start in Mazarrón on 8th and 9th March”, where will take place the first of the four double events  that consists this competition, “while from 5th to Sunday 7th September will be held the Spain Cycling Championship in Road Junior and Máster”.

The Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, stated that “today is a day in which the cycling is back of congratulations to Mazarron as, to the consolidated events that carry out the clubs of the town, we add these facilities with which we will attract to many amateurs to this sport, like those who has come today”. The first councilor has thanked the support of Tortosa heading the Federation and the Cycling Club Mazarrón and the Club ‘9 Y ½’ for the continuous support. Ginés Campillo has highlighted that  “this year will be very important for Mazarrón in what relates to Cycling and in the projection of the town as an ideal place for the practice of this sport ”.
