TOMÁS RAJA AND ISABEL GUILLERMO PUT THE ARTISTIC TOUCH TO THE CELEBRATIONS
Universidad Popular and las Casas Consistoriales receive their exhibitions until 7th January
During the days in which Mazarrón lives its local celebrations, is also usual that be scheduled a pair of level exhibitios that accompany to the festive fun program. This year can be visited two exhibitions of two prominent and prestigious artists of Mazarrón belonging to the known “Grupo Almagra” whose inaugurations were chaired by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, who was accompanied of its authors: Tomás Raja e Isabel Guillermo.
The exhibition of Tomás Raja, who has been crier of this year, is titled “Después del Aguacero” and shows some pictures full of life of landscapes and typical pictures of Mazarrón all of them under the personal view of Raja who, in his trajectory, has showed a perfect command of this technique with an unique and differentiated brand. His work, that highlights for clear and refinded lines, has been collected in a magnificent catalog edited by the Universidad Popular.
As has highlighted the author, the exhibition “is an intentional look with the objective of discovering each shade and each atmosphere that our mediterranean landscape give us in each moment. Mazarrón has a natural heritage able to surprise to any artist”, which is reflected in this exhibition that can be seen in the Universidad Popular of Mazarrón, situated in Constitución avenue, until next 7th February 2013.
The second of the exhibitions belongs to Isabel Guillermo and if titled “Mira a los Ojos”. The exhibition has a large number of portraits painted by Guillermo that, exceptionally, has been lent by the families and neighbors to which Isabel painted. It is therefore an unique exhibition, unrepeatable and differentiated that shows also the professional career of this artist from a local point of view but transcending to the universal; thanks to a style that, despite of being a classic as it the portrait , reinvents as does Isabel Guillermo.
The exhibition of this artist can be visited in Casas Consistoriales until next 7th January from Monday to Saturday from 10 to 14 h., and Thursday and Friday afternoons from 17 to 20 h. The building of Casas Consistoriales will be closed the national holidays, and also the last Saturday of the month. The Mayour of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, was the respnsable of chairing the inauguration of both exhibitions of which he has said “they are a great example of the quality of the artists that we have in Mazarrón and of which we should be proud”.
