Below is the Timetable for those wishing to vote by Proxy or Post in the December 12th 2019 UK General election

For those not already registered, the deadline to register is 12 midnight on the 26th November.

For people who wish to vote in person this will have to be done by returning to your UK constituency and attend your allotted polling station on 12th December.

By Post

For people not already registered as Postal voters and wishing to use the postal vote facility they must be registered as Postal Voters in their UK current constituency or the last UK constituency where they were registered to voteby 5pm 26th November in England, Scotland and Wales and 5pm 21st November for Northern Ireland.

The dispatch of postal voting packs will vary from Council to Council, as an example a West Sussex Borough Council has been contacted and state that they will be dispatching the overseas voting packs on 20th November, meaning if you wait until the 26th deadline it will be too late.

All Postal Votes must be returned to reach your Electoral Office by 10pm 12th December.

The best advice for anyone wishing to vote by post is to register now to avoid missing overseas dispatch dates

By Proxy

For people wishing to vote by proxy (nominating a person to vote for you), the proxy must be eligible to vote in the specific election being nominated for, proxy documentation must be registered by 5pm on the 4th December, here is a link for more information and to download the application form
