Camposol and Bolnuevo are among the areas where fumigation has intensified this week
Mazarron Town Hall continues early summer mosquito spraying as the heat risesThe Town Hall of Mazarrón is busy preparing for the summer, and alongside the work to clear scrub and vegetation from roadsides throughout the municipality the annual mosquito fumigation campaign is also under way.

In an effort to keep the annual proliferation of mosquitos under control the council has contracted the company Lokímica, who carry out weekly inspections to locate pools of stagnant water and detect mosquito larvae. They then use biological products with no harmful effects to the environment in order to eliminate them without posing a health threat to people or other animal species, as well as spraying drains and manholes once a month with larvicide.

Mazarron Town Hall continues early summer mosquito spraying as the heat rises. The company also uses insecticides in areas where mosquito numbers are high, and over the course of the last week the areas where efforts have been concentrated are those of Camposol, Bolnuevo, El Juncal, Bahía, La Cumbre, Cuatro Plumas and El Alamillo.
