Thursday June 9 is a regional holiday throughout Murcia to mark the anniversary of its being awarded “Comunidad Autónoma” status, and in Mazarrón the Town Hall is organizing a Crazy Beach Games fiesta for children and families on the beach alongside the Paseo in Puerto de Mazarrón.

The event takes place from 10.00 to 14.30, and the activities run by the Escuela Náutica El Islote and Siroco Aventuras are designed for youngsters and family groups. Sack races, flipper-wearing races, frisbees and beach golf are all on the menu and at the end there are free gifts for all as well as special prizes including jet-ski, paddle surf and kayak rides. In addition, between 11.00 and 13.00 a selection of activities are being held on the seafront promenade itself, including workshops, arts and crafts, games and dancing.
