This Friday 24th August Gañuelas starts its celebrations in honor to San Bartolomé that will be celebrated during the weekend. The events will start at 12 noon with the mass in honor to the patron that will be carried out in the hermitage of this small local area  and will be officiated by the cure of the church of San Antonio de Padua y San Andrés, Julio Romero.

At night, from 22 h., it will be inaugurated an esparto and wood exhibition of Pedro Méndez and, half an hour later, will be the street cry of this year  by José Méndez García. The night will continue with the election of  Queens of the celebrations and of Miss and Mister Gañuelas 2012, and the performance of the music group from Mazarrón “Los Luisos”. At midnight the Festival Committee  will invite to a morcillada (blood pudding) to everyone.

For Saturday 25 August  it is scheduled a football match at 6 p.m. that face to “Jóvenes Promesas” of Gañuelas against “Viejas Glorias” of Gañuelas. At night the fun is sucured with the celebration of a  ibicenca party in which everyone that wear white clothes will receive a gift.

But the party will not finish there, as at  22:30 h. will perform the flamenco group composed by  Dani Valera and Ana Belén Ruiz dancing, Bastián Contreras singing, Abraham García to percussion and Faustino Fernández and Tomás Navarro on guitar. At midnight will be the turn to the artist David Andreu and will be a great chocolate  in charge of the Festival Committee.

The events will finish on Sunday 26, day that will start with giant paella for all the attendees at 14:30 h. At  22:30 h. it is scheduled the performance of Faustino Fernández, Marisa “La Puncha” and Paquito Sáez that will put the end to these celebrations. Also, during the three days, will be available a mechanical bull for everyone who want to demostrate their skill riding this amusement.
