THE ‘IDENTITIES‘ OF LOLES GALLEGO AND PEDRO ALONSO “PROMISE” IN THE CASAS CONSISTORIALES
Until 21 February can be visited this exhibition of ‘Pop Art’ and new artistic techniques
Until 21 february the building of Casas Consistoriales of Mazarrón, located in Town Hall square, gathers the exhibition ‘Identities’ whose authors are the young Pedro Alonso of Mazarrón and the artist Loles Gallego of Murcia. The inauguration of the exhibition, that took place last Friday, was leaded by the councillor for Culture, María Celeste Soria, and the authors. Joining them, besides family, friends and neighbours; were Ángel Rodríguez and Isabel Hernández, organizers of the exhibition and representatives of the artistic collective ‘Pinco Palo’ to which Alonso and Gallego belong.
María Celeste Soria congratulated to both artists “as we are face an exhibition fresh and full energy and vitality” and invited to the citizens “to know the work of this young artist of Mazarrón like is Pedro Alonso and of Loles Gallego, to who we also receive with affection in this exhibition space”. By his part, Ángel Rodríguez qualified to the artists of “big promises of the art” highlighting “the ‘pop footprint’ of the works of Loles and the portraits and photos of Pedro, being both an example of the step and identity that the man leaves on earth”.
Loles Gallego thanked to the “Town Hall of Mazarrón and to everybody who made possible this exhibition” and explained that “my part is based in the identity and in the way in which is expressed, being the identity those what makes special and different each thing ”. Hence, the works of this young of Murcia use the footprints and profiles of the ‘skylines’ of different cities as the focus of her work and from which she creates new images full of strenght and colorful. Her works are shown in the basement and on the main floor of the building.
Meanwhile, Pedro Alonso explained that “my part is divided into two spaces. On one hand, a comparative between 1913 and the present that leads in the wear that causes the passage of time and a photographic exhibition with a tour of the current mining scene and, on the other hand, a part more focused to the human figure using, besides of the sculpture, the painting or the drawing; other techniques more innovative such as the fresado through of the numeric control computerized or digital prints in materials like the vinyl or methacrylate”. His works are shown in the basement and in the main room of the ground floor of the building.
The exhibition can be visited Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Thursday and Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., being the entry totally free.
