Everything  is ready to celebrate one more year the Celebrations of the Miracle that has organized the Festival Comittee of Bolnuevo with the collaboration of the Town Hall of Mazarrón and that has as main event the popular pilgrimage with the image of the Purísima Concepción that will carry out on Sunday 18th November  and that every year gather hundreds of people arrived, not only from the town, also from other places of the Region. The celebrations of this year were presented by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, the council of  Celebrations, Isidro Coy, the village headman of Moreras, José Antonio González, and the representative of the mentioned Festival Comittee, Alfonso Bachiller.

This last one highlighted some of the activities of the festive program of this year that will start on Friday 9th November at 21 h. with the street cry of the celebrations by Oihana Muruzabal Hidalgo, daughter of Luis Muruzabal who was owner of the Camping of Bolnuevo. That night will be also presented the  local radio station “Qué arte” with the performances of Frank Cano and his chorus of dancing , Isabel Ruiz, la Rondalla of Mazarrón, the friends of the Sevillanas and the flamenco dancer Carmen Lara.

On Saturday 10th starts the route of the  tapa in Bolnuevo that so well received had last year and the council of Culture has organized some dramatised  visits and activities to the Tower of Horses, mornings and afternoons, that will represent the facts accurred on 17th November of  1585 when, as the legen says, the Purísima Concepción expelled an incursion of  berberiscos pirates  in the town. These visits will be repeated precisely on Saturday 17th November also at 10 and 17 h..

Also on Saturday 10 will be held one of the activities that most interest is  rising and that is going to gather in Bolnuevo to tens of people fond of tunning. Specifically, is going to carry out a concentration of customized cars (tunning) next to the Erosiones of Bolnuevo during which will celebrate the international semifinal 3xdbra that, according to experts in these topics, is the most important competition in regard to stereos and sound with which the car are tuning. That night, the cars “tuneados” will drive Bolnuevo and Puerto de Mazarrón and will perform Sharabia group that will make a tribute to Medina Azahara.

On Sunday 11 November will make the rise of the Virgin from  Bolnuevo to Mazarrón where she will be received in the garden of  La Purísima by the religious and civil authorities, and the events will follow around the municipal tent where will develope the most of the activities of the festive program. The celebrations return on Friday 16th with the Reading of the Nine Miracle Declarations in the Sanctuary of La Purísima of Mazarrón. In Bolnuevo will perform in the municipal tent Lady Ma Belle group.

On Saturday 17th, Miracle Day that this year is not festive as the local festive has been moved on Monday 19 November, will be games for the children in  Bolnuevo, while in the sanctuary of La Purísima will celebrate from 12 h. the  Mass in Commemoration of the Miracle of Nuestra Señora during which will take place the renovation  of the Vote of the  Villa to la Purísima Concepción. In the afternoon will take place, from 17 h., the floral offerring to the Virgin  with departure from the old people´s Home and later the mass during which blesses and distribute the oil of the Virgin.

The night of Saturday 17th the municipal tent will have good music thanks to the party organized by Sie7e Radio and Radio Costa Cálida and in which will perform the local groups Slow Motion, Arsenal and The Slummin Angels, besides will be the Disco Movil until late at night. During the night will take place as well a contest of crumbs in which will be given the wine and the oil and that wll have the collaboration of the Neighborhood Association of Puntas de Calnegre that will cook crumbs for that nobody, although has not participated in the contest, run out try this kind of meal.

On 18th will wake up with a Diana Floreada in Bolnuevo at 7 a.m.  and, half an hour later, will start in Mazarrón the mass previous to the popular pilgrimage. After this, the image of la Purísima Concepción will start her return to Bolnuevo accompanied of hundreds of people that can taste moraga of sardines on the arrival to the fishing village as is tradition. The “Virgin of the Miracle”, name that affectionately call the mazarroneros to La Purísima in this day, will rest in the hermitage of Bolnuevo until the arrival of the celebrations next year.

We have to highlight that the Festival Comitte has edited a video with pictures of yesterday and today of Bolnuevo for a price of 7 euros to collaborate  with these popular and known celebrations. The council Isidro Coy praised  “the great effort of the Festival Comitte to design a program that we are going to enjoy everybody”, also has highlighted  “the good work of the neighborhood associations Virgen del Milagro and Las Gredas to do great these days”. The village headman, José Antonio González, encouraged to the neighbors to participate with joy of the celebrations and wished “that be a good day for the pilgrimage with the Virgin”.

Finally the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, congratulated to everyone for the work and the effort undertaken and invited to the citizens of other places of Murcia Region “to come to know this celebration in which involve all the mazarroneros, those who don´t know it, and to repeat to those that has already visited us some time”. Also this year  “the visitors can know the history of Mazarrón and our traditions of an attractive way with the dramatized visits that we have prepared from the Town Hall and with which we have wanted to exalt the festivity of the Miracle in year that we celebrate the 440 Anniversary of the Concesion of the Privilege of Villa”.
