The Piety of San Juan Brotherhood has been the chose  image this year to illustrate the Easter of Mazarrón  as it was revealed last Friday in an act that was chaired by Mazarrón Mayor, Ginés Campillo, and as well had the attendance of the Cabildo President of Easter Brotherhood of Mazarrón, Cecilia Morales, the president of San Juan Brothehood, Andrés Navarro, and the pastor of Mazarrón, Julio Romero.

Also attended the author of the poster of this year, Juan Francisco Belmar, who explained that  “the photography is taken with a lens that exalts the image of the virgin. The photo has been kept five years, but despite the passage of time it still have the same validity. We see it as it  was new”. Mazarrón Mayor, Ginés Campillo, congratulated to  Belmar for his work and highlighted that  “he and his work have already become habitual of Mazarrón Easter”, so that thanked his continued participation.

Besides it was presented the XIII Contest of  Short Story Lenten whose  presentacion term  of originals is opened until next 12 March. To it can concur all those people over 15 year  that live in the town. The stories should be delivered in quintuplicate and signed with speudonym plus plica to Popular University of Mazarrón, La Constitución avenue 65, 30870 Mazarrón. It has been established three awards of 150, 120 and 100 euros respectively.

As well it was presented the III  National Contest of Photography - Prize “Francisco García Jorquera” that this year presents novelties. On it can participate people over 18 years that can present to a maximun  of three photographies that , this year, can or not be related each other. Also, the admission term of originals will be until  31 November. It has been established two awards. The first one gifted with 600 euros plus diploma and the second one with 300 euros plus diploma.
